SATURDAY, JUNE 8 (ages 6-14)
Fairy Houses | 1-5pm | $35
Make a fairy house out of natural materials like wood, acorns, nut shells, bark, pinecones, twigs etc. Option to display your fairy house on Belden School Fairy Walk in the Galena Territory (June 15).
YOUTH + ADULT CLASS
THURSDAY, JUNE 27 (ages 8-adult)
Comfort Bird Power Carving with Marie McDonough | 1-5pm | $75
This beginner’s wood carving class will teach you the basics of power carving (with a small rotary tool, no knives are used) and the techniques on how to break a subject down to make it simple.
THURSDAY, JULY 11 (ages 6-14)
Decorate a Wooden Bird House
1-5pm | $35
Decorate a wooden bird house. Create roof shingles using natural bark, sticks or glass rocks. Paint the outside with whimsical designs. The possibilities are endless.
THURSDAY, JULY 18 (ages 6-14)
Relief Block Printing | 1-5pm | $35
Create your own relief printing blocks and print your designs on fabric, a canvas pencil case and paper.
THURSDAY, JULY 25 (ages 6-14)
Enamel Painting on Glass | 1-5pm | $35
Learn the technique of painting in reverse on glass using opaque enamel paint. You will frame your masterpiece!

Youth Summer Pottery Workshop (ages 8-14)
Throw, Build, Fire Experience, $110
This is a 6-day workshop during the first two weeks of June. (18 hours of pottery fun!) Students will learn to use the pottery wheel and throw pots as well as hand build pots using wild clay harvested from Jo Daviess County. They will also build a pit fire kiln on the ARC campus, load the kiln and fire their pots. On the last day they will unload the kiln, wash, wax and polish their finished pots. A unique and fun workshop!
Tuesday, June 4 (1-4pm):
--Throw pots on pottery wheel with Wild Clay
Wednesday, June 5 (1-4pm):
--Throw pots on pottery wheel with Wild Clay
Thursday, June 6 (1-4pm):
--Trim pots from June 4 + 5
--Hand build pots
Tuesday, June 11 (1-4pm):
--Build Pit Kiln
Wednesday, June 12* (1-4pm):
--Load and fire kiln
Thursday, June 13* (1-4pm):
--Unload kiln
--Clean, wax and polish pots
*If weather conditions are not ideal make up dates will be scheduled.
