AGES 8-Adult
5-Day Pottery Workshops
$130 per person (ages 18-100)
$105 per person (ages 8-17)*
Learn basic skills on the pottery wheel for beginners or those with some experience who would like to refresh their techniques. A fun foundation course in making small bowls and vessels on an electric pottery wheel. Learn preparing clay, centering, throwing, trimming, techniques for altering and decorating and glazing. Fee includes clay, glazes and 2 instructor firings.
*$25 for full workshops paid for youth students by the Bill Farrell Memorial Fund
NOTE: Must cancel 7 days prior to scheduled class to receive a refund or to be able to transfer reg fee to another art class (unless there is a waitlist and someone can take the spot). To cancel contact: artdirector@galenaarc.org

Mini 3-Day Pottery Workshops
$75 per person (ages 19-100)
$60 per person (ages 8-18)*
Interested in learning how to throw pots on a pottery wheel but not sure you want to take a full workshop? Then the beginner Mini Workshop is for you! Learn basic skills on the potter’s wheel; preparing clay, centering, throwing, trimming, surface design and glazing techniques. Make bowls, cylinders, herb bowls and spoon rests. Options to learn how to use colored slip. Fee includes instruction, clay, glazes and 2 instructor firings.

OPEN STUDIO HOURS
Explore your creativity, working independently, in a welcoming studio with other artists!
Open Studio hours are offered to adults who have taken one 5-Day Pottery Workshop or two Mini Workshops at the Galena ARC or are proficient at using a pottery wheel. NOTE: No instruction occurs during open-studio time.
HOURS:
Currently we have Open Studio on Thursday evenings (6-8pm) and Saturday mornings (10am-noon). You must register in advance with Liz Larson to schedule dates and times: artdirector@galenaarc.org
STUDIO RENTAL FEE:
$6 an hour
To be paid by cash or check in the Pottery Studio during Open Studio. 10 hour punch cards available for $60.

1. For immediate class registration please email: artdirector@galenaarc.org
You will be placed on the class list in order of email received.
Your place will be held for four days awaiting payment.
2. Download and Print the Registration Form to turn in with fee.
