Pickleball

Each player must bring their own paddle; balls will be provided

​

Times:

Typically, pickleball is available at the Galena ARC gym, located at 11084 US Hwy 20W, Labor Day through Memorial Day, with options for Competitive, Recreational and Open Play.

• Competitive Play is available on Monday's, Wednesday's & Friday's 7:30-9:30 am. This is recommended for players who have a good understanding of the rules and strategy of pickleball and have both forehand and backhand shots (including drop shots, backhand shots, and volleys), which are generally consistent with a moderate number of unforced errors.

• Recreational Play is available on Monday's and Friday's 12:00-2:00pm. This is recommended for players who have a very basic understanding of the rules and strategy of pickleball and have some basic shots (such as a serve, return, medium paced drive, and dinks), but have limited consistency and control.

• Open Play is available Tuesday's & Thursday's 7:30-9:30 am. This is for both Recreational and Competitive players.​

• Recreational Drills are available on Wednesday's 12:00-2:0pm. This is recommended for beginners and recreational level players who want to improve on or add to their basic skills. There is a limit of 12 participants, the app provides a waiting list if a participant drops out​​.
