Children have the opportunity to participate in fun weekly themes with a variety of planned activities at the ARC, field trips, play at the park, attend the Galena Public Pool three afternoons per week, and have special lunches brought into the ARC.
When the weather doesn't cooperate for any of our outdoor activities we head downstairs to the ARC air-conditioned gymnasium or play in our dance/fitness room.
We spend every Monday, Wednesday + Friday afternoons at the Galena Pool, along with outdoor fun at our new ARC facility.
Does your child need swimming lessons during the summer? No problem! The ARC runs camp at Recreation Park during our block of swim lessons and will take your child to lessons. Please register at City Hall and you can purchase your swim lessons and City swim pass.
Families enjoy the flexibility of choosing every week of camp or just the weekly themes that interest their child.
Parents also have their choice of how many days per week they would like their child to attend.
