Spoon Carving Workshop

*Tools can be purchased at the start of class for $55 if you want to bring them home.

Join local artist Paul Pendola at his studio for a spoon carving workshop and learn basic spoon carving techniques using fresh-felled greenwood and only three tools; axe, straight knife and hook knife. At the end of the class you will go home with a hand-carved spoon, a few blisters on your hands, and an appreciation for the therapeutic nature and addictive qualities of spoon carving.


Fee includes greenwood logs for carving, use of carving block/log, use of carving toolsduring class*, course materials, coaching and encouragement.


There will be a one hour break for lunch. You may bring a sack lunch or dine off site.


    Level: Beginner and above

You will be placed on the class list in order of email received. Your place will be held for 4 days awaiting payment. After 4 days if payment is not received you will be bumped from the list. You will receive a confirmation email once payment is received.

2. Download and Print the Registration Form

3. Place your completed form and payment in the Galena ARC lock box right outside ARC front doors (in a sealed envelope marked Art Class Registration). Lock box is checked daily.
