Music Rhythm Refresher
6 Classes:
Wednesdays, Sept 21 - Oct 26
6:30-7:30pm | $120*
* All instructional materials provided.
Face masks are required.
Instructor: Susan Lipnick

Geared toward high school students and adults, this class is offered to students with prior music reading experience. Instruments optional.
Do you sing or play an instrument but struggle a bit to understand or apply written music rhythm notation?
Do you plan to return to music lessons and want a rhythm refresher to help build your confidence?
Do you currently take music lessons but want to spend some time just focusing on rhythm?
Then this class is for you!
We will review the basics of understanding the beat and deciphering and playing notes and rests in simple and compound meters (4 and 8, respectively, on the bottom of the time signature). The shortest rhythm note or rest will be the 16th. We will also spend a little time exploring other music symbols and words related to rhythm.
About Susan Lipnick
A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in piano, Susan is recognized by colleagues and students as an exceptional musician and teacher. She runs her own piano teaching studio just outside of Galena and freelances as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. Susan has a Master’s degree in piano pedagogy. She is also a clinician for independent music teachers in Illinois.
