YOUTH Keyboard and Rhythm
Exploration Class
6 Classes:
Wednesdays, SEPT 19 – OCT 24, 2019
4:00–5:00 p.m. | $120*
*Class is limited to 8 students. Because of the small class size, student’s spot is not ensured until payment is received.

Galena students can take the Brown Bus from GPS directly to the Galena ARC after school.
TO ENSURE AN OPTIMAL LEARNING EXPERIENCE:

BUSED STUDENTS please bring a snack and drink, you will have time before the 4:00 p.m. class begins to have a quick snack.

ALL OTHER STUDENTS please have a snack before being dropped off to class.
For the beginning musician, this class will introduce participants to playing and reading basic music rhythms as well as exploring various musical ideas on the keyboard. Activities include rhythm instrument work, worksheets, keyboard rote playing, improvisation, and group music games. This class is not meant for students who take private music lessons, and participants are not expected to practice at home.
About Susan Lipnick
A Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in piano, Susan is recognized by colleagues and students as being an exceptional musician and teacher. She runs her own piano studio in the Territory and freelances as an accompanist for singers and instrumentalists. Susan has a Master’s degree in piano pedagogy. She currently serves as Teacher Certification Chair of the Illinois State Music Teachers Association and is also a clinician for independent music
teachers in Illinois.

Susan Lipnick received the 2019 Best of Galena Awards in the category of Piano Instructor.
