Kitchen Towel

Wednesday, Nov 9 |  $35
9:30am - 12:30pm

Class Instructor: Susan Hunter

This class is ideal for intermediate sewing levels or even if you have lots of experience.

Complete 1-2 hanging kitchen towels in just one morning! These  "pull through" hanging towels can be removed with just one hand (watch video on this page/turn up your volume).  They are also "toddler proof"  since a child would pull on the towel instead of the band, making it tighter. They are fast, easy, low in cost to make and make gorgeous gifts! Tops and bands can be from the same material or contrasting material.

1. Towel:

  • One 16 x 26 hand towel, it will make two hanging towels.

2. Fabric:

If band matches top:

  • 1/2 yard total for top and band

  • Makes two hanging towels

If band is in contrasting fabric:

  • 1/2 yard for top

  • 1/4 yard for band

  • Makes two hanging towels

3. Other Supplies:

  • All purpose thread in a coordinating color

  • Sewing machine*

  • Basic supplies like pins and scissors, etc. (ARC also has these items to use in class if you forget.)

Sewing Machines*

Each student must have their own machine during class. The ARC does have machines available for use if you do not own one. We encourage you to bring in your own sewing machine as you will be more familiar with it.
