Hot Dish Casserole Cozy

This casserole cozy is very practical, and hot food looks beautiful on the table served in one of these cozies. Tabletop is protected, and the handles on the ends protect hands from the hot dish.  An excellent and unique feature of this casserole cozy is that it folds flat for easy storage. My method of making this cozy is much easier, faster, and less costly than what the pattern instructs. Cozy holds a standard 9 x 13 glass baking dish.

SUPPLIES TO BRING:

You will complete one cozy in class.

​

Fabric:

One-half yard (18" x 42") of Fabric A for outside and binding.

 

One-half yard (18" x 42")  of Fabric B for inside and handles

 

Fusible Fleece:

2/3 yard (24" x 45") of Pellon 987F fusible fleece

 

Thread:

Matching thread.  Coats and Clarks is fine.

Sewing Machines: 

Each student must have their own machine during class. The ARC does have machines available for use if you do not own one. We encourage you to bring in your own sewing machine as you will be more familiar with it.
