Climbing To Higher Levels

Our purpose was clearly stated when endowed with private funding and classified as a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational and charitable organization.  Galena Art & Recreation Center was formed on July 10, 1967 and moved into it's current location in 1969 with a mission to promote community program activities in arts, sports and recreation for people of all ages.  We've been serving the people of Jo Daviess County with over 40 major programs each year. Galena Art & Recreation Center was formed on July 10, 1967 to promote community program activities in arts, crafts, sports and recreation for people of all ages.  We've been serving the people of Jo Daviess County with over 40 major programs each year.  
 
ARC expenses are met in the following ways:
  o Modest Program Fees (one third)
  o Fundraising (one third)
  o Community Donations (one third)
