Holiday Cookie Walk

The Galena Art & Recreation Center (ARC) will conduct the 19th annual Holiday Cookie Walk on Saturday, December 10, 9:00 am until the holiday treats are gone (typically around 12:00 pm) at the DeSoto House Hotel, 230 S. Main Street, Galena.

Shoppers are given a box and gloves and walk the tables of the historic ballroom choosing from hundreds of homemade holiday baked goods. Volunteers then weigh the boxes for $6.00 per pound or patrons can purchase a pre-made cookie gift plate (holiday plate w/bow).

This is a great way to get your holiday baking done. There are so many choices and the proceeds benefit the ARC.

Organizers of the event urge the community to please help support the ARC and bake one or two dozen of their favorite holiday cookies, bars or candies. Drop off baked goods on Friday, December 9 at the DeSoto House from Noon-6pm. Boy Scouts will be waiting outside at the front of the DeSoto House from 3:30-6:00pm eliminating the need to park. Any monetary donations also appreciated.
